Sorry If I'm rude.
¿Why do you think the narrative treats endeavor as a good person deep down?
In my opinion If that were true then I don't think hori would made Endeavor go to AFO instead of going with Shouto and Touya,drawing Endeavor as a demonic shadow that destroyed his family and also looks like some sort of demon that's not even human in Dabi's backstory and have both Shouto and AFO saying how Endeavor is fleeing from his responsability.
Hi anon 🌻🌻🌻
Don't worry, you're not being rude at all 😊
Thank you for the ask, have some sparkles ✨✨✨
I half agree with you in a way. I actually think Endeavor's characterisation is really contradictory throughout the manga.
A "complete monster" half the time and "just a flawed human" the other half. I think that's why the fandom is so divided about him. You either love him or hate him, there's no in between.
Warning: me rambling again sorry, possible spelling mistakes, me dunking on Hawks a little bit, excessive use of italics
As you said there's the parts where he's literally drawn to look like a demon which are mostly from Shouto and Touya's perspectives of their backstories.
But there's also parts like
The hospital scene where we see him crying
Him leaving food at Touya's shrine
Even comedic scenes like him constantly texting Shouto who's ignoring him
These are all scenes where we see him in a neutral/positive light.
In those scenes he's more the dad who's trying to reconnect with his children because he was absent during their childhood.
And If it were just that then I would love to see his redemption arc. But being an absent father is the least bad thing he did in this case.
When he's crying and saying he feels bad about what he did it feels hypocritical to me, but my understanding is that the scene is still trying to make us sympathise with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To me this reads as "the public is wrong to put that responsibility on Endeavor"
As if it isn't actually his responsibility to make the public feel safe not just as the current number one, but as a hero in general. Something which he failed to do.
The fact that people have lost faith in the hero system is first and foremost society's fault, but it only happened because Endeavor was exposed as the worst of what said hero system had to offer.
He represents the exact opposite of what a number one hero should be, so the public has every right to criticise him. He doesn't deserve his position and in my opinion he should have lost it right after the first war.
But instead we get this random doctor saying he's rooting for him. This line has no purpose. It's not there to show us there's still people willing to support Endeavor, because we're going to see that with actually relevant characters just a couple of chapters later.
Sure we get Natsuo and Rei basically telling him to stop whining because he's not the victim here but that doesn't change the fact that the scene of him crying is there to at the very least get us to pity him.
Tumblr media
We get three panels of him apologising and wiping his tears. Plus a close up of him looking even more sad and pathetic and talking about how his heart can't handle the guilt he's feeling, while 4 of his victims are standing in the room listening to him.
Then Best abuse apologist Jeanist and Hawks Keigo victim blamer Takami walk in and declare they're going to provide their full support to Endeavor.
Tumblr media
Because obviously that's the person who needs support the most right now am I right?!
The public giving him a chance to prove himself and Hawks immediately assuming that Enji must be different now and deciding to help him don't make sense to me. Because Enji only started changing a few months before this. He was still the "irredeemable monster" right up until Kamino basically. The public and Hawks don't know that either. Why couldn't Hawks just as easily assume the exact opposite? Why does the public give him the benefit of the doubt after what they just learned? Because he gave a speech in a fancy suit and bowed once?? We see one person criticising him heavily during the speech/broadcast but they are focusing on the wrong thing in my opinion.
The public is portrayed as asking Endeavor and the heroes in general to ignore the accusations and even lie and pretend said accusations aren't true, and focus on defeating the villains. That's not holding the heroes accountable for their actions, that's ignoring half of the problem.
So even if we see people being disappointed with Endeavor, it mostly has to do with his performance as a hero, and not the fact that he shouldn't be a hero in the first place. He gets criticised for the wrong reasons. So I don't count that as him getting a taste of karma. Dabi's dance had the potential to bring said karma, but in my opinion it didn't. Basically me being disappointed about how the story went.
And while yes, characters like AFO are calling him out on his hypocrisy (hate that I have to agree with that bastard!) but the way I see it, the narrative is still coddling him.
He is currently supposedly finally facing Touya, but Touya had to go there himself and force him to do that. But it's still framed as a good character development moment for him, even though he didn't actively make any decision.
Endeavor is a reaction type character when instead he should be an active character.
For his redemption to feel earned he needs to actively do things to make that happen. But instead he actually avoids making decisions until he's forced to. He says he wants to change but it looks more like he's waiting for the change to happen automatically somehow. His "redemption arc" starts with him trying to basically insert himself back into the family dynamic as if nothing ever happened and he hasn't been abusing and neglecting them for the past... more than a decade, until Natsuo calls him out on it. All of his development happens internally, we see his thought process in detail. The first active thing he does is making a new house for his family to live separately from him. Which is... fine, but throwing money at his problems isn't really a good solution
And he's currently only half being held accountable. Again he didn't lose his job over this somehow. The narrative focuses on how he's going to make it up to his family which he's not doing a good job at anyway, and there's no talk about how he really shouldn't have a position of power like the number one hero spot.
I'm not saying we shouldn't focus on his relationship with his family. Obviously the whole point of his character is that he focuses too little on his family and too much on heroics. But him still having his position as a hero after all of what happened seems wrong to me. There's two ways to fix this
He gets fired after the first war. The public demanding that a person like Endeavor shouldn't have a job as a hero makes more sense than them demanding he doubles down and focuses on being a hero. This decision is like chaining his character arc and dragging him backwards.
Or he quits being a hero at the end of the manga to focus on his family, which is what I'm hoping will happen. If he stays a hero at the end of the story I will consider this officially the most botched character arc I have ever witnessed ever! And that's saying something because Hawks exist!
The second option would make him a more active character like I said he should be, but at the end of the story that doesn't really matter.
I hope I explained it well
Basically I just think it's inconsistent writing and Horikoshi deciding midway through the story that he wants to redeem him, because with his early characterisation it's obvious that this wasn't planned.

BnHA Chapter 299: No Chains Left
Previously on BnHA: Horikoshi was all “and then AFO broke out all of the inmates from six other prisons and took a nap. well anyways, here’s the hospital angst.” Kacchan woke up two days later and was all, “WAIT BUT HOW ARE DEKU AND TODOROKI AND ALL OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS EXCEPT IIDA DOING” and then we cut to Shouto’s room where the other U.A. kids were sitting around being Mutually Traumatized and giving each other moral support and such. Everyone was alll, “...”, and then the rest of the Todofam showed up, INCLUDING POSSIBLY REI?! which, omg. The chapter ended with Kacchan STOMPING THROUGH THE HALLS all “WHADDYA MEAN DEKU HASN’T WOKEN UP YET”, dragging along Satou and Mineta behind him, fueled by the power of ALL OF THE FUCKS HE NOW GIVES. He gives so many fucks now you guys. This boy cares so much he can probably deduct it on his taxes.
Today on BnHA: SPEAKING OF PEOPLE WHO GIVE A LOT OF FUCKS, the story cuts abruptly to Hawks, freshly recovering from his near-death experience, and pondering the threads that have weaved the tapestry of his life and led him to this moment. Basically he grew up in poverty with his Jerk Dad and Jerk Mom until his dad got arrested one day and his mom sent him off to go Find Money Or Something, and so he rescued a busload of people and found himself a new career. Back in the present day, Hawks and Jeanist ride around town in Jeanist’s Jamborghini having awkward encounters with civilians in a country on the brink of social collapse, and visiting Hawks’s mother’s home. Hawks is all “I know from an outsider’s perspective it must look like my life currently sucks, but now that the HPSC is gone, my public image is shot, and my parents are finally out of my life, I’m actually feeling SURPRISINGLY GOOD.” Anyway so he’s gonna go meet up with Endeavor now, and p.s. this chapter was fucking fantastic though, damn.
oh my god?? is this Hawks narration?? something about him growing up watching the heroes on TV and thinking of them as fictional characters
okay I scrolled down a little bit more to see the rest of that “Keigo” panel, and wow
Tumblr media
this is basically a shed. poor boy definitely grew up rough. let me tell you guys, I came in here ready for some BakuDeku shenanigans; I was not prepared for Hawks Flashback Angst. I AM HERE FOR IT, but also wow I gotta brace myself now lol
HELLO MISTER HAWKS’S JERK DAD, SIR
Tumblr media
BnHA sure does have an array of Jerk Dads, doesn’t it. makes me appreciate characters like Masaru and JirouDad all the more for bucking the trend
anyway. so Horikoshi, you really thought that one itty bitty chapter of hospital catharsis would be enough to calm us all before you went right back to showing us child abuse huh. my god man can we rest
BABY HAWKS
Tumblr media
swear to god this kid can’t be more than five or six, and yet he has this completely blank look on his face even with his dad looming over him being all threatening and shit. like he’s shut down his emotions to protect himself. imagine what has to happen to a child for him to have learned this at such a young age. fuck
AND MEANWHILE THIS GUY
Tumblr media
don’t mingle with humans?? not “other” humans, just humans?? what is this implying here?? and also holy shit Hawks definitely didn’t inherit his looks from his dad orz
then again he doesn’t really bear much of a resemblance to his strung-out mom here either
Tumblr media
omg omg omg. and this child is basically trapped here in this environment with these two people. this explains a SHITLOAD about Hawks’s personality though you guys. his ability to completely separate his real thoughts from the face he presents to the outside world. his pragmatic approach to analyzing and solving problems. his layers of emotional walls. turns out almost none of that came from the HPSC training -- that was all learned hands-on in his own personal do-or-die survival nightmare childhood!! oh, boy
and small wonder then that he latched on to Endeavor so strongly if he really is the one who brought down his dad and inadvertently saved him from this. also, just putting this out there, I know people are always talking about him and Dabi being foils, and I think it’s very interesting how Touya grew up in a household where he saw firsthand the dark side of hero society, and so ended up becoming a villain in order to bring it down. whereas young Keigo had almost the exact opposite experience, growing up experiencing the dark side of villain society and becoming a hero in order to bring about a world where no one else has to experience that. just. both of them are so determined not to become their fathers. some interesting parallels there
so Hawks was sort of an accident after his parents had “thanks for helping me not get caught after I killed that guy” sex, and now this little boy is growing up in squalor and being beaten by his father for things like Sitting In The Wrong Out-Of-The-Way Corner Trying Not To Be A Bother To Anybody. holy fuck. this is so rough to read through you guys
wait so does Jerk Dad have a an eyeball manipulation quirk?? because he doesn’t have the wings like his son, but wth are these things??
Tumblr media
this presumably also means that Keigo has never been to school or anything either. he basically doesn’t exist. he thinks heroes are fictional characters, he doesn’t realize that they’re real people. these are people who could help him if he could escape and find them, but he doesn’t know, and they don’t know about him
OH MY GOD HE’S JUST SITTING IN HIS CORNER HUGGLING HIS ENDEAVOR PLUSH OH MY GOD
Tumblr media
how could this child possibly have an anti-fandom when he’s done NOTHING WRONG HIS ENTIRE LIFE. huh. just explain that to me. lol I mean I’m not looking to pick a fight with anyone, but also, MAYBE I AM, idk?? this kid has gotten me all riled up lmao
anyways, Protect Keigo 2021, and thank you Horikoshi for these three very terrible pages. I am pleased to inform you that you’ve effectively gotten your point across and you may now commence saving this kid already
YAY
Tumblr media
oh no, Keigo’s dumbass jerk dad tried to steal a car and the popo nabbed his ass and now his mom can’t just sit around neglecting her VERY YOUNG SON all day long, oh horrors. sorry lady my tiny violin is on backorder. just imagine that I’m playing a very sarcastic song on it for you
anyway so what are you gonna do now, abandon him? I can hardly imagine he’d be worse off, if anything it might be a near-instant improvement
LMAO HE’S ALL “WAIT WHAT ENDEAVOR’S A REAL FUCKING DUDE?!”
Tumblr media
AND THEY SAY THAT A HERO CAN SAVE US~~~~ I’M NOT GONNA STAND HERE AND WAAAAAIT~~~~~ I’LL HOLD ONTO THE WINGS OF THE EAGLES, WATCH AS WE ALL FLY AWAAAAAAY~~~~
lol what a randomly pivotal moment in his young life. TIME TO GO MAKE THESE MEMES INTO DREAMS YOUNG ONE
anyway so his mom freaked out and grabbed him and they wound up at a train station with her TELLING HIM TO GO GET HER SOME MONEY, oh my god. SURE MOM LEMME JUST WALTZ RIGHT ON DOWN TO THE “JOBS FOR FIVE-YEAR-OLDS” STORE AND TELL THEM I NEED SOME CASH. ffff manifesting someone to come help him in 3... 2...
...
Tumblr media
SIGH, JUST GO RESCUE THE PEOPLE FROM THE BUS, KEIGO. is this the outfit he was wearing when that happened?? it must be, right?? I can’t imagine them surviving more than a couple days out here unless this starts getting REALLY dark in a way I know that even Horikoshi won’t explore, so yeah. cut to the HPSC now please. never thought we’d be glad to see them. I mean sure, it may be an “out of the frying pan...” case, but good god
THANK YOU!!
Tumblr media
and I guess it was his mom’s eyeball quirk then. anyway, whatever, see you again never, hopefully. lol oh man. thaaaat, was upsetting. need to center myself here for a sec. NAMASTE
OH YAY THE PRESENT
Tumblr media
so we cut from Baby Hawks Angst straight to Present Day Hawks Angst, huh. not that this exhausted and traumatized lil lad isn’t still a baby to me too, I’ll have you know
BEST JEANIST, ALWAYS WITH THE JOKES
Tumblr media
“WHEW, THOUGHT YOU DIED ON ME FOR A SEC THERE KID.” lmao. Caleb will no doubt ruin this by making his word choice all stiffly formal as usual, so I’m just going to treasure this “WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT, I’M FRESH OUT OF FUCKS” version of Jeanist while I can
look at him, driving his Jeanistmobile
Tumblr media
again, is it any wonder Kacchan was bitching about Endeavor’s dinky little car when he was used to riding around town in style like this. anyone else staring at this panel trying to figure out how this car is somehow secretly made of jeans
NOOOOO
Tumblr media
FUCK YOU DABI LMAO. PUTTING THESE VOICE ACTORS OUT OF A JOB ONE BY ONE
anyway so Jeanist is all “GOOD THING IT’S THE FUTURE AND WE’RE SO GOOD AT MEDICAL SCIENCE” to handwave how Hawks went from one step shy of being a very handsome corpse, to sitting around texting Jeanist in a car all of two days later
OH MY GOD, AND FINALLY AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS
Tumblr media
wait a minute. I’m so confused lmfao. soooo, was Hawks all “anyway, here’s Jeanist’s dead body, you can examine it but please don’t look at him too closely and also I’m gonna need that back unharmed.” how tf did you pull that off lmao
(ETA: also isn’t this technically confirmation of the ol’ Noumu Jeanist theory lol. I’m gonna go ahead and say it is.)
NO BUT PLEASE, CONTINUE. I unironically love reading Horikoshi’s overly convoluted “SEE IT’S NOT A PLOT HOLE” explanations
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lkldslfk so wait, you’re telling me Hawks convinced Dabi and the League to put Jeanist’s body in storage, and basically just hoped they wouldn’t use him for any experiments until he could put his plan into action and have the HPSC’s people break in and find and revive him?? WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG. A FOOLPROOF PLAN IF I’VE EVER HEARD ONE
fff this man really asked Jeanist to risk it all to prop up his little cover story, and Jeanist was all “sure why not” omfg. anyways, thanks for recapping all of this out loud for no particular reason in your car conversation you two
LMAO NOW WHAT
Tumblr media
TROUBLE YOU SAY? GOOD THING THE NEW NUMBER ONE HERO IS ON THE JOB THEN
okay no it’s just some random thugs strolling around terrorizing the downtown. fuck ‘em. so Jeanist is making short work of them now
uh oh
Tumblr media
won’t come? not can’t, but won’t?? what???
WOW
Tumblr media
well I guess that makes the local heroes A BUNCH OF SHITHEADS now doesn’t it?? jesus
and okay, serious question, if the cops are spread too thin and the heroes have literally walked out on the job, what exactly is stopping everyone from deciding to use their quirks to defend themselves, legal or not? nothing, as far as I can tell. society just got a hell of a lot more chaotic
anyway so this is an interesting panel here
Tumblr media
man, Dabi really did pull it off, didn’t he. well anyway so here’s that better world all of the villains were wanting, you guys! isn’t it so great?? everyone’s terrified and angry and losing hope and society is inches away from collapsing into total anarchy! but hey, at least we exposed the number one hero as a hypocrite
anyway so what are these guys up to
Tumblr media
fucking hell, he’s visiting his mom. I really wasn’t prepared to commit this much emotional energy towards reading this chapter today. BUT VERY WELL, WE PRESS ON
?? wait she’s not there?
Tumblr media
is this supposed to explain how Dabi knew who Hawks really was? except that there’s the little matter of how he even know where to find his mother in the first place. feels like we’re still missing something there, but oh well
OH MY GOD
Tumblr media
RHA I TAKE BACK EVERY WORD I EVER SPOKE AGAINST YOU. YOU ARE A SCANLATION GROUP FILLED WITH ANGELS LMAO. I WILL TAKE THIS PANEL IN MY HANDS, AND TREASURE IT AND KEEP IT SAFE
ANYWAY, BECAUSE MY TIRED BIRD SON’S LIFE SUCKED SO MUCH ALREADY, IT TURNS OUT HE’S ACTUALLY PLEASED WITH THIS NEW TURN OF EVENTS LOL HOW ABOUT THAT
Tumblr media
GOOD FOR YOU BBY. YOU GO OUT THERE AND BE YOUR OWN PERSON
and in all seriousness, I love that identity he chooses -- chooses, because it actually is him making a choice now, possibly for the very first time in his life -- is “guy who helps people”, though. it really is nothing short of miraculous that he held on to that kind of optimism and desire to do good even with everything he’s been through. there were so many times he could have chosen to turn his back on the world in retaliation for the way it treated him. but he didn’t!! and here he is now, finally free, and what he wants to do with the rest of his life now is simply to help others. anyway please excuse me for a moment, I need to go find some sort of basket or a big vase to put all of my fresh new Hawks Feels in, pardonne-moi
YEAH BOIIIIII
Tumblr media
“FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS, MISTER JEANIST, WHERE DID YOU FIND YOUSELF THAT SWEETASS CAR.” hey, all I’m saying is if this boy’s wings really aren’t growing back, he’s gonna need to find himself a new means of transportation y’know?
oh my god you guys it’s a flashback to his mom buying him the Endeavor plushie when he was like two because, and I quote, ALL MIGHT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE
Tumblr media
oh my god oh my god. my boy out here with a new lease on life finding hope in the darkest of times
Tumblr media
wasn’t your throat supposed to be all fucked up lmao. Horikoshi was suddenly all “oh shit the VAs are gonna be pissed at me if I keep this up huh”
“that’s why Bubaigawara was such a great guy” motherfucker IT IS A TERRIBLE DAY FOR RAIN. FORECAST SAID NOTHING ABOUT THIS
:’)
Tumblr media
yes ma’am. yes indeed. confirmed, I really will straight up fight some motherfuckers for this child. well not really, but YOU KEEP YOUR DISCOURSE OFF MY LAWN AND OUT OF MY BLOG YOU HEAR. THIS IS A HAWKS-FRIENDLY SPACE. WE RESPECT TAKAMI KEIGO IN THESE STREETS
and he’s saying (or is he thinking?? what a weirdly shaped speech bubble this is) that even if what Dabi said about the Todoroki household is true, “I’m not sure it’s the same now.” which happens to be ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. man this whole chapter really is all about saying “fuck the past” and moving forward and I am living for it
SON!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“the first step is at my beginning” fklkjlk. what an iconic fucking line??
AND HIS WINGS!!!! THEY ACTUALLY ARE GROWING BACK AHHHHHHH. “PUT A RAINCHECK ON THAT CAR, JEANIST-SAN.” THE HAWKSMOBILE CAN WAIT, RIGHT NOW HE HAS TO GO INSERT HIMSELF BACK INTO THE TODODRAMA WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT
you guys. I came here ready for some BAKUDEKU HOSPITAL ANGST, and I got DIDDLY SHIT of that, and none of my other kids were even in this chapter, but!!! ASK ME IF I CARE LMAO omg. because bird son is hanging with his new best friend, and he’s out here Finding Himself and picking up the pieces and putting them back together stronger than ever because RESILIENCE HAS A NAME, AND IT’S SPELLED H-A-W-K-S, and you guys. profound, my love for this child. holy shit. hey google, play Silence by Marshmello

Every Snowflake Is Different(Just Like You)
Tumblr media
Ficmas day 3 aka 4 days till Christmas owo
A/N: I’m aware that the plot doesn’t actually echoes the song all that much but hey, at least it’s cute and fluffy. (It is cute, right? Right???)
Description: There is something different about this person he always share a lift with each morning.
Pairing: Todoroki Shouto x reader
Word count: 2224
Yes, I know that this is not techincally an actual Christmas song but I like it so it counts.
-
There was something special about this person he always share a lift with.
After he graduated, Todoroki Shouto did the exact opposite of what the public expected him to do and joined a small hero agency as a sidekick instead of working for his father or made the jumpstart to directly owning his own agency like people speculated him to do so. He didn’t bother explaining his decision to anyone, the ones whose opinion mattered to him were the ones that understood the motives behind his decision right away without even needing an explanation.
He had learned all he needed to know from his father already, the title of being the no 1 hero’s son didn’t bother him anymore than it matters to him. It was his life, his career, and he would do what he thinks will work the best for him.
Amidst the tens and hundreds of agencies that poured in fighting over him, he ended up choosing a humble agency that located on the top floor of an office building. The small-scale agency was a huge contrast from the one that he interned at, taking up only a small part of the building instead of having one whole skyscraper dedicated to one single hero like many others. The pro-hero he worked for wasn’t the most popular or the most skilled, they were rather mundane, in all honesty. But that down-to-earth aspect of the hero showed him that there was more to being a hero than just skills and reputation. To save lives, you must first understand how most people live and it was the thing that he didn’t learn from the harsh training he was given his entire life.
He had spent his entire life being a hero in making that sometimes he forgot how to be just a regular person and it was a lot of conflict between wanting to prove that he was different than who people think he is and not wanting to be treated differently because of it.
It took a while for everyone else who worked at that office building to act indifferently around him. For a while, there were constant glances and whispers from people when they thought he wasn’t aware. Shouto knew that he would have to live with that his entire life with what he does for a living and his background, but that didn’t stop him from feeling a little relieved the first time he walked into the elevator without anyone in the compressed space paying any extra attention on him.
For once, he was just Shouto. Nothing more, nothing less.
While he was starting to blend in with the many civilians who were just there every morning to go to their respective duties, there was someone in the middle of that cramped 9am elevator ride that caught his attention.
You always arrived at the office building at sharply 8:54 every morning, just a little bit later than him which means that he sees you walking in from the heavy glass doors every morning from the lobby. You would stand next to him, staring at the changing numbers of the sign above the elevator with a cup of coffee in hand. For a short while, it would be just you and him until others who work at different offices of the building started rushing in and lining up behind you.
The lifts were always crowded in the morning and people couldn’t be any more impatient as they tried to squeeze into the small compartment, not wanting to wait 3 extra minutes for the next ride. Being the first ones in the line, he would always end up standing next to you in the corner. The few interactions he had with you mostly muttered apologies when either one of you bumped into the other person when the lift got too crowded of people were trying to get in. He had come to notice that you were more concern about your coffee than you were about yourself, brows knitting together and shielding the cup with an arm whenever people stood too close to you but didn’t seem to care much when he bumped into your shoulder.
By the time the elevator stopped for perhaps the fourth or fifth time, most people would have already left the lift, leaving only the two of you. At that point, he would have already taken a few steps away from you now that there are more space.
There would always be a sigh of relieve from you whenever people started exiting the lift. From the way your shoulders eased and you shifted from one foot to another, he made the guess that you went on your tip toes to make more space when people started pouring in. That’s when you would pop the lid of the cup off and take a sip of your coffee, filling the entire lift with the strong aroma. It smelt more sweet than it does bitter each time, you must have added a ton of milk and sugar to the drink.
You worked just a floor beneath him, leaving plenty of time for him to be alone with you in that lift before you walked out of it eventually. He wasn’t sure if it was pure curiosity, his own boredom or something else but before Shouto even knew it, he had made a mental note on a lot of your small ticks and quirks.
You let out a soft hiss every time you took the first sip of your coffee and tried to pretend that it didn’t happen, blowing gently at the steaming liquid to cool it down before carefully testing the temperature with the tip of your tongue again. You were wary of other people noticing that embarrassing moment because he had caught you glancing at him sideways after doing that once and you immediately looked up like nothing happened. On the contrary of your cat’s tongue, you seemed to be very sensitive towards the cold because you always carry a cardigan in one hand no matter what weather it was out there.
He wasn’t sure what it was that made you stood out from everyone else who he sees in that building every day but he found himself to look forward to that short amount of time he spent in the lift each morning.
You seemed to be different from everyone else. Unique in some way that he couldn’t begin to describe. There was something special about you, and he wondered what it was.
As people started rushing in, his eyes naturally searched amongst many other figures to see if he could catch a glimpse of you this morning as well. There were times when he found himself getting too anxious about it when you were practically a stranger to him in all means but it had all become a part of his routine by now and the possibility of each time being the last worried him a lot more than it should.
Perhaps one day, you would just stop showing up and he would never know. He wouldn’t even know your name and he would always just be another person you run into each day for you when you always seemed so special to him.
But that was a dilemma for another day as you walked past the tall glass doors wearing the heaviest coat Shouto had ever seen. He was well-aware that it was winter and although he wasn’t one to be sensitive to the drop in temperature due to his own quirk, all the people around him had decked out the woolen garments and the coats. You, on the other hand, seemed to just pile everything you could fit into onto yourself with a scarf around your neck and your arms clearly restrained by the thick sleeves of your coat.
All the extra layers made it even harder for everyone to fit into one single lift. Shouto couldn’t contain the sigh of relieve that escaped his lips when the last person who was pressed up against him left.
Finally, some space to breathe in.
From the corner of his eye, he could see you slowly peeling off the many layers you were wearing. You seemed to struggle a little as you passed the paper cup from hand to hand as you clumsily tried to pull your arms out of the sleeves. He discretely glanced at you as you take of your scarf, your coat, another jacket, only to reveal that you were still wearing a cardigan beneath all the other garments.
It wasn’t really that cold, was it?
He couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed when the bell rang, signaling that it was your floor. Now carrying a large pile of cloths in your arm, you stepped out of the lift and his eyes never once left your back, trying to take just one more look at you before he had to wait for the next morning to come.
His heart nearly leaped out of his chest when you suddenly turned around and stop the door from closing with your foot. A loud bang could be heard as you slammed the side of your shoe onto the bar of the door.
“You know,” you said with a wide smirk to the hero who was still in shock, “you could have just say something to mean instead of staring the whole time.”
With that, you turned on your heels like nothing happened, leaving a very flustered Shouto in the lift all by himself. His face heated up at the realisation that his staring hadn’t been so discrete after all.
The entire building went into a state of panic and chaos when the fire alarm of the entire building rang.
Shouto was uncharacteristically nervous when he was waiting for the lift the next day.
Now that you knew he had been looking at you the whole time, would you try to avoid him? Would your only impression of him be that he acted like a creep? He could feel his face heating up once again when you walked into the building and stood behind him. Desperately trying to act normal, he scrambled to maintain his body temperature by activating his quirk, keeping up a face of indifference.
He had physically forced himself to stop glancing at your direction when he caught his gaze wandering several times while being in the lift. He was never the best at socialising and although those few years he spent at school did help, he still found it hard to truly read social cues sometimes. The fact that he had to confront you eventually didn’t help with the dryness at the back of his throat.
It was only when the people were staring to clear out that he noticed you were holding two cups in your hand instead of one. It shouldn’t have mattered to him but the slight oddity irked him, did you bought the extra drink for someone? It made him bitter in how little he barely knew about you but he couldn’t take his eyes off you. It was ridiculous and made no sense, whatever that thing he felt in his chest was, he did not want it at all.
“Here.”
He snapped out of his thoughts when you nudged at his shoulder, extending an arm to hand him a cup. You were smiling at him and he was utterly confused.
You chuckled when you saw his blank expression examining you. “Are you gonna take it or what?”
Taking the cup from your hand, his fingertips were instantly met with a soothing warmth. He wasn’t one to be sensitive to heat, but he could feel his entire body heating up when you continued grinning at him. “Thank you, but what for?”
“You seemed to be rather intrigued by my drink every day so I decided to get you one.” You said, “Hot chocolate to warm you up, you never seem to be wearing enough clothes.”
Shouto would like to argue that you were the one who was wearing too many layers but swallowed it back. You popped off the lid of your cup and scrunched your face together after taking a small sip after letting out a small cough. “Mine has already gone cold though so it might not work as well as I hoped it to.”
He didn’t say another word as he take your drink in his hand and you gasped when you saw steam rising from the previous lukewarm beverage. “Here.”
You were still awestruck when he handed back your cup and you hummed in content when you felt the warm sweetness on the tip of your tongue. Right at that moment, the elevator’s door opened and you looked up to see that it was your floor.
Putting one hand on the sensor, you looked back and smiled at the hero who was tentatively taking a sip of the reheated chocolate. “You really are a special one, aren’t you?”
Still a bit flabbergasted from the encounter, Shouto let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding in as he sipped on his drink.
Special. You called him special.
With a soft smile on his lips, his brows quirked up when he twisted the cup to see lines of scribbled number on the cup holder.
“Text me? xoxo”

tdbk, [55] Established Relationship and [97] Time Travel
***
Bakugou loses track of time easily, which is ironic given his situation. He can’t remember when he was last in his own timeline—or, honestly, when it is. He mostly hangs out in the 1920s and mid-2000s, but lately, he’s been finding himself stuck in 2008. He practiced controlling his time-traveling to no avail, it seems.
“Fuck, that hurt.” Bakugou finds himself staring at the sky, his whole body aching. He was skateboarding in 2011 and jumped times in the middle of a flip. Typical. He pushes himself up, wiping dirt and grass off his leather jacket. “Dammit. When am I now?”
“Um… hello?”
Bakugou jumps, nearly smacking the kid in the face. “Jesus. Don’t sneak up on people like that.” He recovers his composure and glares at the boy warily. He can’t be older than nine or ten. He sure looks weird, too. Heterochromia and two-tone hair. “…How long have you been there?”
“You just appeared out of nowhere,” the boy says, inadvertently answering the question. His eyes are shining. “How did you do that, mister?”
Bakugou’s eyebrow twitches. “Don’t call me ‘mister.’ I’m only like seven years older than you, little brat.” He pokes the kid in the chest. “And you better forget what you saw. I don’t need some kid causing me trouble.”
“My name is Todoroki Shouto,” the boy says with a hint of irritation, “and how exactly am I supposed to forget someone appearing out of thin air?”
Great: Bakugou managed to get caught by an annoying kid. “Fine. Let me tell you something, then: I’m a time-traveler.” He crouches down so they’re eye-to-eye. “Go ahead and tell your whole fucking family. Nobody will believe you, and I’ll already be long gone.” He doesn’t really want the kid to blab, but children all seem to enjoy doing the exact opposite of what people tell them.
Todoroki’s eyes narrow in a concerningly smug way. He holds up a phone, waving it in Bakugou’s face. “You’re right. They wouldn’t believe me, if I didn’t have this video.”
Bakugou’s heart skips a beat. “You’re bluffing.”
The kid slips the phone in the back pocket of his jeans and takes a seat at a picnic table. “Try me.”
Dammit. This is the most annoyed Bakugou’s been ever, in any timeline he’s been to. He grits his teeth and falls onto the bench across from Todoroki. “What do you want?”
“I just want to ask you some questions.” He smiles in a way that makes him seem much older. “I’ll delete the video if you answer them.”
Bakugou sighs through his teeth, but it’s not like he has somewhere else to be. Besides, this kid seems interesting. At least, more interesting than skateboarding. “Yeah, whatever, I guess. Just make it fast.”
Todoroki turns on his interrogation mode instantly. “Where are you from? How old are you? What’s your name?”
“Tokyo. Seventeen. Bakugou Katsuki,” Bakugou answers without hesitation. He hasn’t talked about himself in a while. It’s good to know he can still remember information like this.
“When did you figure out you could time-travel?”
“I was eight. Ran outside, and straight into nineteen-twelve. Next question?”
“What year were you born?”
“Twenty-twenty.”
Todoroki’s eyes go wide. “So you really are from the future? That’s twelve years away.”
“Yeah, I guess to you, I am.” Bakugou rests his chin in his hand. “Let me ask something: why are you at the park alone? You’re, what, eight?”
“Nine,” Todoroki corrects, averting his gaze. He picks at a loose strip of wood. “I snuck out… I don’t like being at home.”
Ah, so it’s like that… Damn. How the hell is Bakugou supposed to be mean to the kid now? Poor bastard. “Well, how about this: What’s your favorite color?”
“Favorite color?” Todoroki seems surprised by the subject change. “I guess it’s… gray.”
“Gray?” Bakugou scoffs. “That’s fucking weird.” Shit. He probably shouldn’t curse in front of a kid.
“Then what’s yours?” Todoroki retorts, cheeks red with childish anger. At least he didn’t pick up the swearing.
“Don’t have one.”
“What? You have to have one. Everyone does.”
Bakugou sighs, staring into the kid’s anticipatory eyes. The left one is framed by a dark scar, but it shines crystal blue in the sunlight, almost like a sapphire. His eyes actually aren’t terrible to look at. “…Blue,” Bakugou mutters after a while, glancing across the park. It will get dark soon. “You should get home, kid. The sun’s setting.”
“But… I only got to ask a few things.” Todoroki pauses with his phone in his hand, chewing on his bottom lip. “If… I come back next week, will you come meet me?”
“Well…” Bakugou doesn’t have the heart to tell him that he doesn’t get to control where he ends up. “I’ll try,” he says instead. “Now get lost.”
“Thank you!” Todoroki deletes the video and turns to run, shouting over his shoulder, “I’ll see you then!”
Bakugou lifts a hand. “Goodbye, kid.”
***
It’s not unheard of for Bakugou to end up in the same timeline twice, but it is incredibly unheard of for him to end up in the same place. One minute, he’s cutting through a crowd in 1876 New York, and the next, he’s stepping into a familiar park in Japan.
It’s only been a week since he met that bratty kid Todoroki, but the leaves are tinged with red and crackle under Bakugou’s feet. The smell of autumn hangs heavy in the crisp air. How much time has passed here?
“You’re… here.”
Bakugou recognizes the voice, even though it’s slightly older. More than slightly. He can tell Todoroki is taller now, even while he’s sitting on a bench. He must be at least twelve. Fuck. Coming back so late might be worse than never coming back at all. The kid must resent him—
“What took you so long?”
“You’re not upset?” Bakugou asks before he can think it through. There’s no reason for him to be upset. Bakugou only said ‘maybe’ in the first place.
“I’m not.” Todoroki smiles. It seems brighter than before. “When you missed our meeting, I guessed that you couldn’t control your powers.”
“Don’t call them powers,” Bakugou mumbles. “It’s embarrassing.”
“Sorry. But I wasn’t sure when you were going to show up again. It’s been three years, after all.”
“Fuck.” Bakugou falls onto the bench beside him, hissing a sigh through his teeth. “Three years?”
“Yeah.” Todoroki shifts to look at him. Something in his expression has changed. He seems more… empty. It’s a bit scary to notice. “Has it been shorter for you.”
“A week…” Bakugou runs a hand through his hair anxiously. “I can’t control where or when I pop up. I’ve only ended up in the same timeline once or twice before.”
“And this time, too,” Todoroki says quietly. “You found your way back here.”
“I guess so.” Bakugou looks at him again. He can’t seem to stop doing that. “You got taller.”
“You look exactly the same.” Some of the shine from their first meeting is back in Todoroki’s eyes. “You know, if you come back three years from now again, I’ll only be two years younger than you.”
“Didn’t you hear what I said about not being able to control the where and when?” Bakugou punches him on the shoulder. “It’s some twist of fate that we met again once, kid.”
“But we did meet again,” Todoroki stresses. “That has to count for something.” He shifts closer on the bench. “While you’re here, I want to ask more questions.”
“You remember that?” Bakugou rolls his eyes, resting his elbows on his knees. “I’ll play, but only if you answer, too.”
“Deal.” Todoroki sits up straighter, his eagerness written all over his face. Cute. “When’s your birthday?”
“April twentieth.”
“Mine is January eleventh.” Todoroki smiles. “That means if we were born in the same year, I would be older than you.“
“Wipe that smirk off your face, brat.” Bakugou pushes Todoroki’s head away, mostly to hide the grin he’s struggling to hold back. “Hurry up and ask me the next question.”
***
Snow is drifting from the cold sky during their next encounter. It’s Christmas Eve, and Bakugou ended up in Todoroki’s hometown. He isnt even sure why he walked all the way to the park where they first met, because it’s after midnight and freezing cold, and why would he come out on a holiday?
Whatever. Bakugou’s here already, sitting on a bench, feeling stupid and cold. He isn’t even sure if this is the right timeline or not. He got so excited when he recognized the town that he came straight here. And why did he get excited, anyway? It’s been two months since their last meeting. By now, he should’ve resigned himself to the fact that they’ll probably never see each other again. A third chance encounter is just too rare.
“Fucking moron,” Bakugou mutters to himself, blowing on his freezing hands. He managed to snag a scarf from a restaurant coatrack, but he has nothing else to shield him from the cold. “Are you happy now, Katsuki? You’re sitting out here in the snow like an idiot. He’s not going to show up.”
Why does Bakugou want to see him, anyway? It’s not like they’re friends. Sure, they talked for a long longer during their last meeting, but that doesn’t mean anything. Sure, Todoroki’s got a nice laugh, and he isn’t terrible company. So what?
“Bakugou?”
Just like every other time they meet, the kid appears out of thin air. Or, well… Bakugou supposes he’s not a kid anymore. He’s even taller now, and his voice is much deeper. There’s a thin, athletic frame hidden under his long winter coat. His face is leaner, sharper, more defined. But his eyes are the same.
“Todoroki.” The relief in Bakugou’s voice surprises them both. He quickly clears his throat, standing up to greet him. “You… got taller.”
“That’s what you said last time.” Todoroki stops inches away from him, his eyes glowing in the light of the streetlamp above them. “How long has it been?”
“Two months.” Bakugou has to tilt his head up to retain eye-contact. This bastard is taller than him now. “And… for you?”
Todoroki’s smile is a strange mix of emotions Bakugou couldn’t begin to name. “Almost six years. I turn eighteen next month.” His eyes shine like liquid starlight when they’re this close. “I’m finally older than you.”
Six years, and he still remembers him…
Something stirs in the depths of Bakugou’s chest that was never there before. It hums in the air between them, resonating like a plucked string. His face grows hot against the cold air, and his heart smacks painfully against his chest. “Don’t get cocky,” he manages to mutter. “You’re still a damn brat.”
The silence between them becomes syrupy and thick, choking the air from Bakugou’s lungs. His hands are shaking, and not just from the chill. “I didn’t think you would show up,” he murmurs when the quiet becomes unbearable.
“I got the sudden urge to come here.” Todoroki somehow seems to be even closer than before. “It must be destiny, right?”
As much as Bakugou wants to deny it, it has a ring of truth. Running into Todoroki twice already seemed like a strange twist of fate: three times has to mean something. The feeling in his chest is telling him that it might be pretty close to ‘destiny.’
“When did you become so…” Bakugou starts, cutting himself off. Handsome, he almost said. “Bold,” he switches to at the last second.
“While I was waiting for you to come back, of course.” Todoroki shifts even closer, until Bakugou is leaning his head back to avoid their foreheads touching. The asshole’s hand is on the small of his back, keeping him from retreating. “I have something to tell you,” he whispers, his breath frosting against Bakugou’s lips. Smells like peppermint.
“…What?” Bakugou breathes. The barely-spoken words are stolen with a kiss.
Maybe he saw this coming from the moment he saw Todoroki again. Or from the very first time they met, even. Maybe he’s been spiraling toward this his whole life. But that doesn’t really matter right now. Bakugou has never felt at home before, no matter what timeline he ended up in. But here, in the snow, kissing Todoroki Shouto, he has a new and terrifying thought.
He wants to stay. In this fleeting, singular moment of bliss, Bakugou wants to stay here with Todoroki forever.
This warmth building in his chest must be the elusive feeling of ‘home.’

              -The accident-
Just another day for Todoroki. Early in the morning, he was heading to school. The only new thing happening today is the sound of sirens and the distant yet visible cloud smoke in the general direction of a burning apartment building in the exact opposite way to get to UA from his home. There was an inkling od him that wanted to go, but he knew that it was just a fire, albeit a big one since he can see it from where he is. Firefighters can still handle it. If he went to check it out, even though he’s going to class relatively early, he would be late. He took the left, while the apartment was to the right... He only made it 5 steps before turning around going to the fire. He just knew he could help in any sort of way. An ice quirk could prove useful in a situation like this, right?
He made it there in the heat of everything. The top half of the building was engulfed with flames, heroes with water Quirks tried their best along with the firefighters. Maybe he could freeze the building? No. They wouldn’t allow that. Help people out? No, he wished he was a pro hero already, instead of just a minor that couldn’t help out with anything. He covered his mouth and released a small cough, the smoke was getting worst. No one had noticed him yet to tell him to scram or at least give him a mask to cope with the breath stealing fumes that the apartment released. God he hoped he could accomplish something before he had to leave
Though the deafening sirens were blaring off he did manage to hear shuffling, thumping, a small crash and a... Squeak? Well, the noises were coming from the alley beside the building.. It could have very well just have been a mouse. Regardless of such, Todoroki still races into the alleyway to figure out what exactly made those noises. It could have been a person trying to fall to safety, and they could be hurt or burned. No matter how improbable he knew that was.
As he runs into the alley, he almost, just almost misses the girl. The girl was panting, almost hyperventilating. She was small, or at least was appearing a lot smaller from shrinking herself down to fit in between heaps of garbage bags. Or at least that was the excuse Shoto was gonna keep in his mind to almost not noticing her.
“Help-” The girl who’s lying in a small garbage pile squeaks out in a high pitch, hoarse voice. Somehow, someway, the voice calmed down Todoroki, who is in super high alert mode. When he spins around so be presented with just the most beautiful girl who has the warmest, softest glare. The girl has a ferret who’s hanging around her neck that looks like is on high alert as well.
“All you alright, ma’am?” Todoroki says, in a surprisingly calm voice. I mean, it literally shocked him too. This girl has and affect on him.
“Y- Yes, I’m not hurt too badly. I just-” The girl attempts to get up but just falls back into the trash.
Todoroki hurries to help her up but then suddenly he feels a burn on his shoulder blade, it was almost like a sharp pain. Todoroki, being so well acquainted with burning sensations brushes it off before he sees the young girl he’s trying to save grip her shoulder in pain too. She doesn’t look like it was excruciating, so Todoroki gives her a worried look with she just responded with a nod. Todoroki wasn’t these best with facial expression, but he was genuine worried for this girl’s safety. The little ferret makes a small clicking noice and repositions themselves into a better spot being wrapped around her neck.
It looked like they realized the obvious at the exact same time. Almost out of the alley, both of there eyes grew wide, hoping for the other to not realize, they both shyly look at each other as the girl whispers,
“Did you get the pain on your right shoulder as well?”
Shouto Todoroki wasn’t fed with the most information with soulmates, with all things considered on who his dad was and his dimener. But luckily for him he had his mother, who looked up to the ordeal of soulmates, since she wasn’t blessed enough to have one herself.
“That means... You’re my soulmate?” Shoto says, with a semi-shocked face. Again, he’s not the best with facial expressions.
The girl was dazed, smiling to herself the rest of the walk towards the ambulance. Right before Todoroki and the police got her into the ambulance to head straight to the hospital he used the new-found knowledge to his advantage,
“Sir, I’m her soulmate.” He says with a overconfident tone. The man lets him straight into the vehicle. He hops in while she’s having and argument with one of the EMT for letting her keep the ferret in the ambulance. She ultimately won when she said it was her comfort animal.
The EMT saw that the girl did not have any bad, immediate injuries that he could take care of. She was rarely coughing which means the amount of smoke inhalation was low. When they got to the hospital, the doctors could do more.
“Miss-“ Todoroki started, halfway in the ride to hospital
“Y/N.” The girl corrected Todoroki.
“Y/N... I hope you don’t mind me asking but, why did you go through a trash shoot?”
“Well,” She started “it was the only thing that hasn’t caught fire around me and if I died from the landing on something below at least my furry friend would have a cushion to land safely on” she said with a small smirk.
Telling his friends
Shoto was just in the locker room. Almost all his peers were already worried in why he called in sick yesterday. By the time he left the hospital with Y/N He already missed a good fraction of the day, plus Y/N insisted on hanging out more.
The crescent on his right shoulder had color now. It was a piercing white with one or two grey spots. Shoto was always curious what color it was going to be.
One of the boys must of picked up on it having color now. I hear a small quick gasp from who I think was Izuku. I let out a small sigh. I know I’m in for a long one...
“Y- You met your soulmate Todoroki?!” Izuku questioned. If any of the guys wasn’t already intrigued with the gasp, they are probably now.
They all walked out of the locker rooms, thankfully before the girls. A lot of was boys who was in the locker room are swarming Todoroki with questions about Y/N. Shoto was new to this type of attention.
It dimmed down a lot as we made it to the bleachers, but the other guys still haven’t let it go yet. The girls are taking an odd amount of time to get ready, though they usually do take a longer time than us.
“So, is she hot?” Kaminari asks and Mineta turns around awaiting some sort of answer. Todoroki shrugs this question off because I shouldn’t materialize Y/N, let alone any woman.
“Well, how’d you meet her?” Izuku asks in a light voice, trying not to overstep any boundaries. Izuku has yet to find his soulmate and didn’t know which questions were acceptable or not. In fact, Shoto was the first boy in 1A to find his soulmate, though a few of the girls have.
 “That fire yesterday,” he started answering his question, all the boys listening, even Bakugo who was trying to play it off. “I came to check it out and she was in the apartment building,” with every sentence trapped the boys even more with wonder. “She fell out the trash shoot with her pet ferret, and I helped her. We have a date later on today.” That wonder of his fellow classmates turned into confusion, playing off the date part there was a small uproar, of light whispers and theories of why she fell out of a trash shoot. But two voices stranded out from the rest.
“Why a trash shoot?” Says Bakugo with aggression like always, and Kirshima, with general confusion, it had to be asked, so he just got it through.
They glared at each other as Bakugo mumbles a low, but completely audible “shitty hair...” small laughs from the exchange but soon the attention falls back on Todoroki, awaiting an answer.
“She said the reason for the trash shoot is because ‘it was the only thing that wasn’t burning in the fire. And if she died from the fall at least her Ferret would have a safe landing’”
The hard and tough boys tried their hardest to not let out a ‘awwww’. It sounded like something straight out of a heartwarming movie. There’s no denying that they didn’t find that to be some form of cute.
The girls finally walk out of the locker rooms and a small look of realization and disappointment waves over Todoroki as he registers that he’s gonna have to repeat the story for the girls.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was way longer than it needed it to be. I can’t believe I actually got this done. I really hope you like it.
Yasha Gekimetsu {BNHA}
(Kat)
Tumblr media
Okay, first of all, let’s break down this name.
I’ve been taking Japanese, and I now realize that it may be useful for breaking down OCs names.
A “yasha” by itself is a type of Yokai. They’re considered demon gods. Sesshomaru from Inuyasha is a yasha, and so is the titular character, though half yasha. Their father is a demon god, and so is Sesshomaru’s mother.
Now, at first, I read “Gekimetsu” as separate words, which means “astonishment”, but together it means “destruction.”
In Kanji, this is spelled like: 夜叉撃滅
Which, I may note, makes no sense at all.
This is so edgy it makes me laugh.
Good job, name your OC essentially ‘demon god of destruction.’
Tumblr media
►Name- Yasha Gekimetsu ►Alias Unstoppable Demon// Earth Crusher//
If she wants to be a hero, I’m going to say what Midnight said to Bakugou: That isn’t a very heroic name.
►Age- Unknown ►Gender- Female ►Hair Color- ►Blood Type-
Dude you can’t just leave these blank.
►Quirk- Distraction and Telekinesis
Tumblr media
Are you telling me this bitch has two quirks?
Todoroki is the only character who has two quirks but that’s because his abusive father used his mother multiple times to achieve this. The only way this sort of thing can be accomplished is via a forceful quirk marriage or by some miraculous stroke of luck at birth.
Another way to get two quirks is if One For All is passed down to you, or if All For One gives you a quirk. However, the chances of that happening are very slim, seeing as Izuku is the current holder for One For All and he has no intention of passing it on any time soon, and All for One is currently very much in jail.
►Status- Alive ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ⚫Power- 10/5 ⚫Speed-10/5 ⚫Technique- 10/5 ⚫Intelligence- 10/5 ⚫Cooperativeness- 4/5 ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■
Tumblr media
The only character with stats even remotely similar to this is All Might.
Tumblr media
And as you can see here, even while he is overwhelmingly powerful, his stats only reach 6/5 on all levels, and none of them reach anywhere near 10/5.
So, you’re meaning to tell me this bitch is more powerful than All Might?
Tumblr media
// HISTORY //                    Yasha has already committed Crimes and she was a Villain , She used the name Red Scar to not knowing her Name.
Oh, she’s a villain now.
How edgy.
Yasha went to U.A. High to Destroy all Might. Dabi always wanted to Defeat All might a long time, Yasha started knowing All might, His weakness and His Powers.
What- no. Dabi only came into the picture after Stain was defeated and his ideology was spread. The same goes for Himiko Toga.
Also I don’t recall Dabi ever really caring about what happened to All Might. He isn’t fond of heroes, but he hasn’t showed much interest in wanting to kill All Might, though since he’s a member of the League of Villains I’m sure he wouldn’t mind all that much if All Might were to die.
Also Tomura Shigaraki is the leader of the League of Villains, not Dabi. Dabi has no authority to send a spy to UA without his boss’s permission. Or really do anything without Shigaraki’s permission in regards to the actions of the League.
                      She lied to All might that she wants to save People's lives and Become a Hero.
Why specifically to All Might? How did she get into UA? Did she do the entrance exams like Izuku did, even though he's All Might’s prodigy? Did she get in on special recommendation somehow like Yaoyorozu and Todoroki did?
Tumblr media
She observed many people's ability. Yasha and Dabi plan to Destroy the world together
I’ve never seen the appeal of destroying the world with villains.
You live in the world, too man, you’re gonna die if you do that.
but they got separated when Dabi and All might got a fight.
And when the fuck did this happen?
They never see each other again. But they try to Find each other until they see again.                    After many years Tomura heard Dabi's story between Yasha and Him that they got Separated. Tomura kept a secret to Dabi that Yasha was in U.A. High. Tomura Observe Yasha without noticing.
This story is very farfetched.
Also when did Dabi fight All Might?
Never. The answer is never.
And I honestly think world domination is not really the first thing on Dabi’s list of priorities.
But I must note that it made it seem like Dabi sent Yasha to UA High, but now you’re telling me that he didn’t know anything about it?
■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ // PERSONALITY // Yasha is Aggression person. She's always serious and Quiet.
Those are exact opposites.
She always observing people's ability and appearance. She likes Fighting and sometimes Pyscho
Weird flex, but okay.
■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ // QUIRK AND ABILITIES // ⚫Distraction- Once her Right eye Glows she will Destroy anything she see. She needs to be Stop Because once she was not Stop she will Destroy the World
You mean destruction? Also how does that work? what are the drawbacks?
Tumblr media
⚫Telekinesis- It's very Dangerous, Once she see you she will Control your mind and she will play with you until you Die.
That is not telekinesis. That’s just mind control. Also how does she do this? Does she have to get someone to answer a question like Shinso Hitoshi does?
■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ //RELATIONSHIPS// ❥ Izuku Midoriya- She always save Izuku every time he was attack by a Monster. She always help Izuku every time he needed help the most. Izuku was making an effort to be friends with Yasha.
Izuku can take care of himself, but okay.
❥ Bakugou Katsuki - Bakugou was His Childhood Friend,
Who’s? Izuku’s?
She never got a Chance to meet Izuku.
But you just described her relationship with Izuku like a paragraph ago.
They got a chance to see each other when their in the same school. Bakugou has an Interest in Yasha since Kids.
So he has a crush on her?
Tumblr media
Also, if she was in school, how did she have time to ‘take over the world’ with Dabi? Was this a weekend thing or something?
❥Dabi - Dabi was his very first Best Friend than Bakugou, Dabi save Yasha when she was attack by Monsters.
Do you mean villains or a nomu or what? What is the timeline of events here?
Dabi had interest in Yasha and yasha has an interest as well. Until then they always hang out and talk a lot.
But I thought Dabi didn’t know where Yasha was????
❥All Might- He has an Interest in Yasha, His Quirk and her Appearance. He always teachers Yasha everything as well as being a Hero.
Now you’re just copying Izuku.
❥Todoroki Shouto- he always looking at Yasha every time he saw her. He trys too be partner with her and be friends with her.
So now Todoroki also has a crush on her?
❥Tomura Shigaraki- Tomura always Observe Yasha
And, as said before, he apparently does this without Dabi knowing.
Okay, I’m gonna be honest here, I have no idea what happened throughout this entire backstory. I don’t know what the timeline of events follow, it isn’t made clear.
But oh boy, what the hell is her quirk? She kills people, but she’s also a spy (though apparently secretly; so secret even she doesn’t know) for the league of villains. Dabi is her boyfriend/ best friend or something???
Someone help me to understand.
I’m gonna go on a search for more to review. Hopefully with more legible English. Wish me luck!
These Newfound Feelings
Hi guys! I made a fanfic of that Todomomo comic I made for Todomomo week. You can read it under the cut or read it on AO3(leave a comment/kudos over there hint hint~)
Summary: For the past few weeks, Shouto has noticed uneasiness in his desk mate. Whenever he steals glances her way, he sees her immediately turn away from him. Sometimes her face even seems flush..? Perhaps she isn’t feeling well and has caught a cold. Or maybe it’s something else…
Shouto has never been the greatest at making friends, but he’s sure that’s what his status is with Momo. He feels they have overcome the acquaintance barrier after their match against Aizawa. He also feels they have an understanding of each other and have grown closer somehow. Sometimes when he’s in class, he finds himself glancing her way. The way she gets so focused on the lessons, or how she sticks out her tongue slightly when concentrating intrigues Shouto. When did he start paying attention to these small details about her?
Recently, Shouto has caught Momo looking at him. Their eyes only meet for a millisecond before they flicker back. He has no shame in looking her way, but for some reason, Momo seems embarrassed every time it happens. Sometimes her cheeks flush red and Shouto thinks she may be getting a fever. This seems to happen more frequently though, and he begins to get suspicious. This can’t just be a coincidence.
Before Shouto gets the chance to bring it up to Momo, he notices her keeping her distance from him. Every time he tries to approach her, or even start a conversation, she hurries away. She either makes up an excuse, or rushes off before he can even get a hold of her. This shouldn’t bother Shouto, but it does. Has he offended her some way? Does he stare at her too often? Maybe she thinks he’s being creepy, but he just can’t help looking at her. She has such nice details like her long, black hair. Or her soft, plump lips… Shouto has especially been finding his eyes wandering to her lips which he finds quite strange.
After about two weeks of being blatantly ignored, Shouto beats Momo to the punch. He slams his hands on her desk the second their class ends to get her attention. This startles her.
“T-Todoroki-san?! I-Is something the matter?” she asks.
“Yaoyorozu. Why have you been avoiding me?” he asks straight away.
Momo hesitates before answering, “I-m not-”
“Yes you are.” he says sternly before softening his tone, “Have I offended you somehow? This whole friendship thing is still new to me, so I would prefer it if you just told me what I did wrong instead of making me guess.”
“I’m… I’m sorry, Todoroki-san. I didn’t mean to make you worry. And you’re right, I guess I have been avoiding you.”
Momo looks crestfallen as she turns her head away, ashamed. She’s been dealing with conflicting feelings about Shouto lately and doesn’t know what to do. She thought about bringing it up to Kyouka and Mina, but decided against it. Momo has come to the conclusion that she has fallen for the half-and-half boy standing in front of her. He deserves to know why she has been avoiding him.
“Is it because I’m creepy..?” she hears him say quietly. He avoids looking at her.
“W-what?!” she half yells.
“It’s because I look at you during class, right? If it bothers you, I can try looking the other direction. It’s just I zone out a lot and you happen to be in my line of sight.”
Momo bursts out laughing. “You aren’t creepy Todoroki-san! If anything, I find it quite endearing.”
“Endearing..? How so?” Shouto asks, confused.
“It shows you’re concerned about me, right? Friends care about each other, so that makes you normal.” she beams brightly and Shouto has to look away. Her smile is too powerful. It quickly disappears, however, and Momo’s tone gets serious.
“Actually, Todoroki-san… There is something I need to tell you. Could you meet me after school tomorrow behind the building?”
This catches Shouto off-guard. “Alright.”
Shouto finds himself behind the school building the next day tapping his foot impatiently. Whatever Momo has to tell him must be important if she needed to go through all this trouble. She made it very clear to come alone. Who would he bring, anyways? Midoriya would probably just be muttering the whole time making Shouto feel even more uneasy. After what feels like an eternity, Momo finally appears. She’s out of her uniform and looks quite… beautiful, Shouto admits.
“What did you need to tell me, Yaoyorozu?” he blurts out. The suspension is killing him at this point. If his staring was bad before, it’s even worse now that she is standing in front of him. His eyes wander everywhere from her hair, to her clothes, and falling back on her lips. Her soft looking lips… Momo is doing the exact opposite of Shouto and trying to avoid all eye contact. Her face is definitely flushed.
“I wanted to tell you that I… I…” Momo begins. She takes a minute to compose herself as Shouto continues to stare blankly at her. She is definitely quite flustered, and Shouto can’t help but think it’s a cute quality of hers. And here he goes looking at her lips again…
“I- I like you, Todoroki-san!” Momo blurts out, stunning Shouto. “Y-You don’t need to give me a reply yet-” she finishes quickly. Momo tries her best to look away from Shouto as not to get her heart broken. There’s a long silence, and she only fears the worst.
“Yaoyorozu.” Shouto says finally.
“U-uh, yes Todoroki-san?”
Shouto steps closer to Momo so she can’t avoid looking at him since they are almost the same height and right at each other’s eye level. He raises a hand to her face and stops his thumb on her bottom lip. She stands there, unable to move.
“Would you let me try something?” he breathes out.
“Ah, something..? S-sure...” she says lamely. Shouto ever so slightly glides his hand to the side of her face, never breaking eye contact. His heart begins to race, but he ignores it, only focusing on Momo and her soft lips right before him. He doesn’t even know why he he’s doing this, but he begins to move his head even closer to hers until they are nose-to nose. Shouto can feel both sides of him heating up. Is his quirk malfunctioning? He notices Momo’s face is a darker shade of red now.
Shouto moves in even closer, and Momo shuts her eyes out of shock, embarrassment, or maybe both. He finds himself also closing his eyes as he finally makes contact with her soft lips he’s been yearning for the past few weeks. They are even softer than he could ever dream. Although they only make contact for a few seconds, it’s enough time for Shouto to know why he keeps stealing glances at his desk mate. After he pulls away from the kiss, the both of them stare at each other in stunned silence, still nose-to-nose before Shouto steps back.
“I think I also like you, Yaoyorozu.” Shouto finally says with a beet red face, avoiding looking at her for once.
Momo flashes her bright smile at him before pouncing forward and wrapping her arms around him in a warm embrace. She wraps her arms around his neck and pulls him in for a passionate kiss, shocking the poor boy. Shouto is too stunned at first to close his eyes before giving in to these newfound feelings and kisses her back. He learns that he really enjoys Momo’s kisses.
Note
can I please have a Shouto scenario where he wants to impress his s/o by being more "romantic", but he doesn't really understand how, so he tries asking Izuku, but then ends up getting more help than he hoped for. Anyway, long story short, he goes up to his s/o and gives her a super cheesy and common pick up line or something? That would be fun to read ;D
Tumblr media
first scenario y’all, & thank you so much for the lovely request anon, I had fun writing it!♡
Todoroki Shouto
Shouto had never doubted himself whenever he was with you. It was a little difficult to explain, but he knew clearly that whenever you were around, he felt more at ease. Comfortable, even. You constantly made him feel loved and showered him with attention throughout your relationship with the dual hair-coloured boy.
But somehow, that was starting to become a problem to him. It had gotten himself stuck in an unreal predicament, and it began pestering him even more and more lately. It just all dawned on him that you were the one doing all of those nice things to him, while he was just shamelessly accepting your love without giving much in return.
He was never the romantic type to begin with, and he knew that you were okay with that. And yet he couldn’t help but feel guilty for not having directly shown the amount of affection he felt for you. He felt downright horrible, and had even started avoiding you until he could figure out a more rational course of action.
Both his time and choices were running thin, and it was coming to a point where he was desperate for help. There was only one person that came to mind if it was about solving this particular issue.
“C-could you please repeat that, Todoroki-kun?” The green-haired boy furrowed his brows, taken aback by the sudden question. Shouto didn’t seem bothered though, so he asked again.
“What can I do to be romantic?”
Izuku gulped, and was desperately trying to find a way to avoid having to answer the odd inquiry. Luckily for him, he noticed both Iida and Ochako heading towards him. He let out a sigh of relief.
“Hey, you two wanna come sit with us?” She offered with a smile. Izuku nodded his head nervously, glancing over to Shouto, who still seemed to be troubled but didn’t refrain from coming along.
The four of them sat across the table, where Iida began consume his meal and Ochako was about to strike a conversation. Izuku looked at Shouto again, and somehow, the boy managed to look even more serious with his intentions.
“Can I please ask for some advice?” The question was directed towards both of his new company. Shouto didn’t want to waste any more time with his journey on finding a legitimate answer. It no longer mattered who he had to ask. As long as they could offer a reliable response, it was fine.
“What is it, Todoroki-kun?” Ochako casually said as she took another bite of her food. Iida on the other hand, seemed more determined to help their friend, and Shouto wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing.
“Could you please tell me what I have to do to be romantic?”
Ochako nearly choked on her food, but tried her best to put on her largest grin so that she wouldn’t offend him. Iida’s reaction was basically a gasp, but even Ochako wasn’t sure what kind of sound had just escaped his lips. Izuku could only sigh as he hid his face in his hands.
“Right, we must help our fellow friend in need!” Iida was the first to have a say in the subject. He really did seem genuinely determined, and the others appreciated his efforts.
“Then what should I do?” Shouto asked, feeling just a little overwhelmed.
“Well, Todoroki-kun, my brother once told me that girls are usually drawn to confidence, you see.” Iida began, making odd gestures with his hands as he spoke. Shouto took his words to heart.
“Confidence?” He repeated, despite not being so sure.
“Yes, indeed! Don’t you agree, Uraraka?” He turned to the said girl, who could only squeak at the mention of her name. She fumbled around with her words at first, but finally managed to muster up what was a proper sentence.“Just don’t be a jerk, and you’re all good.”
“Hmm, I see.” Shouto drowned himself in his thoughts again. He knew that just being nice to you wouldn’t be enough, he had to go out of his way and do something bold. But what could he possibly do?
“Love problems, huh?” A head suddenly popped up from behind their table. It was Denki, who had apparently caught up on their little shenanigans, and didn’t mind coming off as an eavesdropper. Nobody could blame him though, his table was right next to theirs, and considering how loud they were talking, it wasn’t easy to just ignore the chance to join in. “That’s easy, dude. Just tell (y/n) a pick-up line and she would probably swoon.”
Shouto raised a brow. “A pick-up line?”
“Yeah, like something sweet but also clever. Girls love that stuff.”
The poor boy was genuinely confused, and had to endure a small debate that had accumulated between his friends over such a short span of time. They began tossing opinions back and forth between eachother, trying to find the most suitable pick-up line for Shouto to use. He sighed, deciding his plan had backfired, and just maybe, that his friends were just as hopeless as he was when it came to these sort of things.
After a while, a few votes were counted, and everyone finally agreed on a pick-up line. They repeated the sentence for the third time now, and yet Shouto still didn’t get it. It was a little frustrating for everyone involved.
“I… Don’t understand …” He confessed, causing a series of groans to errupt. “Why can’t I just directly tell her that she’s beautiful, then?”
“Because–!” Ochako was just about to offer the most rational excuse she could think of, but she just sighed when she realized it was futile. It wasn’t like she expected Shouto to understand this time around. She was still thankful when Izuku covered for her though.
“Todoroki-kun… I think what she’s trying to say is that… You should just trust us on this one. It could work, I mean,” Izuku scratched his head nervously. Frankly, he wasn’t sure himself whether it was even a good idea to begin with.
Shouto didn’t reply for a moment, and when he did, it was just a nod. Everyone exchanged glances, attempting to decode whether the boy had agreed or turned down their idea. They immideately got an answer. “I’ll try my best, thank you.”
There was still a small amount of lunchtime left, but Shouto had decided that he would use it wisely. He finally got back to the class, where he assumed to find you. He was right. There you were, sitting all alone in the practically empty classroom, staring at a book that you didn’t even seem interested in. He could tell because you had a frown etched on your face, and you looked like you were thinking about something unpleasant. He, of course, hoped that despite whatever was troubling you, he could still make you feel somewhat better. Even if this really was a stupid idea.
The moment he stepped in, you snapped your head in his direction. You were just about to smile at him, but refrained, and turned back to your book. This upset him a little, especially because he didn’t know if he had done something wrong to have earned the silent treatment from you.
He didn’t say anything, until he took the risky chance to sit beside you. Still, you didn’t say a single word, almost as if he wasn’t there.
“(y/n)?”
You turned to him with the same frown on your face, waiting for him to go on.
“Did I do something wrong?” Now he seemed nearly as equally upset as you were. You closed the book you were holding and finally fully averted your attention towards the concerned boy.
“I could say the exact same thing. You’ve been avoiding me all day.” You whined, looking down onto your lap out of shame. You didn’t neccesarily enjoy acting all spoiled like this or pleading for his attention, but you felt particularly gloomy today and all you wanted was to talk to him and melt your terrible mood away. But the moment you stepped into class that morning, the first thing he did was walk away before you even had the chance to so much as say hi. And when you wanted to try again during lunchtime, he did the same thing. You even noticed him sit with Izuku and his friends, and you couldn’t help but admit that you felt a tad bit jealous. Sure, your boyfriend had his days when he didn’t feel like talking to anyone except you, but today was the complete opposite, and that striked you as odd.
“I’m sorry, (y/n). I didn’t mean to.” He said, leaning in for a hug that you gladly accepted. You burried your face in his chest, taking in his scent that you had grown to adore.
“At least tell me if you don’t feel like talking to me next time.” You absentmindedly began tracing circles on his chest. It was something he had never admitted out loud, but he always adored you when you did that.
“I’m sorry,” He apologized again. “It’s a long story, I promise I’ll explain later.”
You let him be, and indulged in the time you had left to stay curled up in his embrace. This was exactly what you needed all day, and you were beyond pleased to have finally gotten it.
Shouto on the other hand, was a little nervous with what he had initially planned on doing. Now or never, he assured himself, taking a deep breath before he began.
“Hey, (y/n)?”
You hummed back.
“Did it hurt?”
“What?” It felt like a strange question, so you looked up at him with one of your brows raised. “That’s not funny. I was seriously upset, you jerk.”
“No, I meant… When you fell down from heaven.”
Silence. Very brief and awkward silence. Then you laughed so hard you thought for sure you’d pop a lung. Shouto was so confused you had nearly pitied him, but you were too busy wiping the tears from the corner of your eye.
It took a while for you to regain your composure, and then you looked at him with a warm smile.
“I’m sorry, Shouto. That was sweet.” You gave him a peck on his cheek, causing him to freeze out of surprise. A blush adorned his face. “But I think that explains your strange behaviour today.”
A small pout made its way onto his features. You giggled, giving him another peck on the cheek. Gosh you had to stop before this poor boy turns into the shade of a tomato.
Fusion
That Tododeku Fusion AU i kept talking about.
this is actually part of a series of fusions i’ve done whenever i feel anxious or sad : here’s the rest if you want to read them
During fusion classes you had one of two options: you could practice with someone as a fusion by fighting with another fusion (or classmate), or try to fuse with someone.
And Deku was doing neither, because of the simple fact that everyone already had a pair to work with and he didn’t.
Just a few weeks before, Izuku actually had a partner, since Ochako was still hesitant to fuse with anyone else, so they were always Zero Gravity during Fusion classes. But ever since Urappy was formed, Uraraka began spending more time practicing with Tsuyu. It was something good, actually, since Urappy was probably one of the most stable Fusions in class. But it didn’t take away the feeling that Ochako was leaving Deku behind. Specially when, at that exact moment, he had no partner to work with.
He sighed, looking at Kaachan trying to fuse with Kirishima in the corner of the room. It was no surprise it was taking him a bit more effort to Fuse. After Fusing with Ochako Deku realized one thing.
“Ah Midoriya,” a voice called, making him turn around, “are you alone?”
“Yeah, Ochako kind of left me.” Izuku laughed and let his gaze follow Urappy. “And everyone else is already fusing.”
Todoroki hummed in affirmation, sitting right next to Deku while he stared at Urappy fight with Twinge, who was actually quite entertaining to look at. For someone who moves at the speed of light, he sure did made a big deal out of everything. Urappy was having a hard time trying to contain him. But Urappy was Urappy, she’d manage. Eventually. She always did.
“Same here,” Todoroki said, sighing. Izuku gave him a confused look, “Yaoyorozu got tired of not getting progress and left me for Jiro.”
“That’s weird, I didn’t think Momo would give up so easily,” Izuku wondered, recalling how Momo always gave her 120% in everything ever.
“Yeah, I don’t think she left me for the lack of progress,” Todoroki shrugged, “she just wanted to fuse with Jiro.”
“I don’t think that’s-“ Izuku tried to reassure Todoroki, but in that exact moment light engulfed the room. They both turned to see where it was coming from and a giant girl that looked incredibly similar to Jiro stood there.
“Oh, cool,” she said with a low voice, opening and closing her hands in silent awe, “it worked.”
For a second the entire class was silent, but everyone soon began talking excitedly. The new fusion stood there, proud of herself and confident in what she would do.
“I call dibs on fighting her!” Urappy was the first to rise her hand.
“Hey, you’re fighting me!” Twinge complained just in front of her, to what Urappy just smiled.
“Not for long!” And proceeded to jump into the air once again.
The room became bright in emotion at the new fusion, who presented herself as Jackie.
“I think I was right,” Todoroki said, and Izuku couldn’t help but smile.
“I would love to fight Jackie as Zero Gravity,” Izuku commented, looking at the ruckus being made in the center of the room. “She seems strong.”
“You haven’t seen her quirk,” Todoroki pointed out, looking at Jackie. She was starting to play around finding out what her own quirk was.
“Well, when you fuse…I think the least powerful thing is your quirk,” Izuku said in a low voice. He turned to look at Todoroki with a smile. “I think she’ll be amazing, just for being both Momo and Jiro together.”
“The least powerful thing?” Todoroki didn’t seem to understand what he was saying.
“Yeah, I mean,” Izuku continued, shifting his body weight so he was staring straight into Todoroki’s eyes, “it doesn’t really matter if you have an amazing quirk, if you can’t control it along with your partner. For example, Zero Gravity is difficult for me, because I’m not used to changing my own gravity. But Ochako helps me out when we do it. So, even if it’s complicated, if you have a partner willing to hear you out and follow the path your mind has, you find yourself moving easier.”
Todoroki was staring, and after his on rambles about Fusions, Deku couldn’t help blushing. He had done it again, talking an ear off from whoever was listening.
“Ah, sorry. I must have confused you more. I’m not that good at explaining,” Izuku tried to hide how nervous he was, which only caused him to get even more nervous.
“No, I think O understand,” Todoroki’s voice brought instant relief to Izuku. “It’s interesting how you see Fusion.”
“Interesting?” Izuku had never heard anyone call it that way. Ochako usually called it really boring, since to her it was more romantic. Izuku liked to think of it as something more than just romantic.
“I thought fusing was only about…making other kind of quirks, or make your quirk stronger,” Todoroki said, and something inside of Deku’s head clicked.
Of course.
The memory of the sport festival came vivid in his mind. The story about how Todoroki’s father had fused with his mother once and decided to have a kid based on how power drunk he had become in those fifteen minutes the fusion lasted. The repulsion his mother had at Fusion, and the bitter after taste that it left Todoroki whenever his father would come asking for her help to fuse.
‘Mom refused to fuse after that,’ Todoroki had said, ‘but that didn’t stop him from trying.’
That’s why Todoroki couldn’t fuse with Momo. Midoriya was actually incredibly impressed by how Todoroki was strong enough to even try.
“Fusion is everything but that,” Izuku said earnestly, reaching out so their hands were close by. “It’s about-…Connecting with others. The more you let the other see, an d the more they accept you, the stronger you become. Not because you have more power, but because you understands each other..and feel like you belong somewhere.”
Izuku was acutely aware of how Todoroki was intensely staring at him, and for some reason didn’t mind this time. Maybe because he wanted Todoroki to hear, and he knew he would.
“I know it sounds scary-“ Izuku began again, this time a pained look painted across his face, “but it’s not supposed to be scary. If it’s someone you trust, then it’s actually amazing. It feels like-…like…well. I don’t know how it feels. But they say it’s incredible.”
“I want to try it,” Todoroki said, suddenly, looking into Izuku’s eyes. “I want to try and fuse, Midoriya.”
“Ah, but Momo is-“ Izuku turned to call Momo, just to see that she was now fighting Urappy- who must have effectively defeated Twinge-.
“Not with Yaoyorozu, with you,” Todorokis hand was almost over Izuku’s, making Izuku run out of breath. “Can’t I?”
If Izuku wasn’t having trouble breathing, then he sure as fuck was now. There was no way he could say no to Todoroki when he was asking him that way.
“I’m-I’m not good at dancing,” he knew it was an excuse. Dancing was kind of an option when you were a pro, and other factors played a bigger role while fusing.
“That makes us two.” Todoroki offered him a hand, and Izuku sighed kindly at this, taking it. The both got up, both nervous, both a tiny bit scared.
“That’s a lie, I’ve seen you dance with Momo,” Izuku complained, but began stepping back and forth, slowly.
“Hum, I think you caught me.” Todoroki gave Izuku a mischevious smile, and Izuku would be angry if it weren’t for the thousands of butterflies flying in his stomach at the sight of Todoroki’s smile. “Relax, it’s okay.”
Deku did just as he was told, but found that he was still nervous. With Ochako it was easy to relax, but Todoroki…he was nervous for other reasons. He couldn’t help biting his lip, and meeting Todoroki’s eyes was so hard when he was trying not to explode.
“Watch out!” Urappy’s voice came rushing, and they turned just in time to see a giant boulder being thrown at them from the other side of the arena.
Quickly, Todoroki pulled from Izuku’s hand, running towards the opposite direction. It took Izuku’s a few moments to react, but as soon as he did, he also tried to run, not bothering to let go of Todoroki’s hand. It a mish mash of movements that followed, Izuku isn’t sure how but Todoroki ended up carrying him for a minute. It made him laugh.
“Okay, I’m not carrying you all the way to safety,” Todoroki commented, but the cheerful tone of his words were not passed by Deku. He let Deku down just enough for him to get up.
It was unconscious a this point, but they continued dancing. In an awkward, nonsensical way, that definitely looked weird to their classmates. But Izuku couldn’t care, he himself was laughing, and he could see a tiny smile in Todoroki’s face. Regardless if they managed to fuse or not, they were having fun.
Izuku then took both of Todoroki’s hands and held them close, slowly clasping them together, holding fingers. They were big enough to fit his own, and somehow they seemed the perfect size. Carefully, Izuku guided them to his shoulders, and walked forward.
They didn’t realize the glow that was forming around them.
This time was different than Ochako. He could feel Todoroki’s anxiety, his fear, his pain. It made Izuku unable to breathe, and he wondered if Momo managed to feel this, even for a second. But instead of backing away, Izuku reached towards Shoto, and in his most calm voice, he whispered.
“It’s okay,” Izuku could feel his pain, but it didn’t matter. He reached out, and held Todoroki even closer than before. He felt his own tears flowing down his cheeks, as Shouto went limp in his arms. “I’m here, you don’t have to worry. Relax. Everything will be fine.”
This seemed to be all Todoroki needed. Izuku felt his relief cursing through their own body. He felt complete.
And then, they opened their eyes.
The first thing he saw was Urappy, who stared at them with eyes wide like a frog. Then seconds later, proofing out of their fused form. Then Jackie, who had a hard to read facial expression. Finally, it landed on the rest of the class, who all looked at him with …Honestly he couldn’t tell what exactly they were looking at him with.
“Um, hey,” he managed to say, looking at the class. “What did I miss?”
“Oh, wow,” Jackie was the first to say something, “you two look…great together.”
Steam came out of his head at the comment.
“So, you are?” Jackie asked, and only then he tried to reach something. He began mumbling, all over until something popped.
“Shotodeku, I think?” He said out loud. Jackie laughed.
“Pick a decent name, you two” she smiled, and then crossed her arms. “But while you’re at it. Do you care joining me in a fight?”
A big bright smile formed in his lips.
“Sounds fun!”
A/N: Shotodeku is horrible at picking names. He'll find something...eventually. In regards of Shotodeku's quirk...let's just say it's not fair for someone to be so powerfulTwinge is Iida and Aoyama fusion. He is a sweetheart and I'll write him more
Class Ghost Ch. 3
summary:
Shouto roams the halls of UA as a ghost, lost to who he was before and how he got to be who he is now.
Izuku feels like there's something missing from his life at UA, and he doesn't know what. But this ghost boy looks awfully familiar, and it's just not in him to let a poor soul wander forever without figuring out who murdered him first.
Together, they thwart bad guys and somehow fall in love along the way.
(the ghost/murder mystery au that nobody asked for)
a/n: kinda shorter but really fluffy so i hope that makes up for it lol
read it on ao3
chapter 1
Izuku had a hard time not thinking about Shouto in the days following their little chat, and the most pressing thing that consumed his mind was that Shouto was a ghost, yet he had no idea why he’s even at UA. He assumed Shouto had a reason keeping him here, instead of doing what other people’s spirits do when they die, like passing on or something. It seems counterproductive to the spirit if they stay on this ‘mortal plane’, but forget why they did it in the first place. How are they supposed to right their wrongs, or get revenge on someone, if they can't even remember what happened to them?
That was the big question. Shouto’s spirit is here for a reason, but why? It was puzzling—and frustrating— to think about.
And no amount of prodding will get an answer out of Shouto, either, because every iteration of the question won’t make him remember. It’s always the same response: “I don't remember anything, just my name, but I get the vague notion that I know class 1-A.”
And when Izuku once asked how Shouto knows 1-A, he answered, “You’re all familiar.” Familiar, familiar, familiar. But how is what he’s really stumped on. How are they familiar to him?
Familiar, familiar, familiar.
And then it clicked. Shouto must have been a former UA student. He must have seen 1-A around campus, or during the sports festival, which is why he recognizes them, even if it is vaguely.
Izuku waits until class is over and he’s in his room before he brings up his idea to Shouto. When he walks in he stops in the middle of his room and looks around. “Are you in here, Shouto?”
Over the past couple of days, Shouto has taken to spending his time after class in Izuku’s room, mostly sitting around, but sometimes distracting him from his homework by asking Izuku questions about various things. Before both boys even realize, it will be well into the night, and Izuku will go to class the next day more tired than usual.
Shouto responded to his question by picking up his pillow and dropping it back on the bed. “Well, I think I might know a way to figure out who you are—were.” Izuku couldn't see him, but if the increase in temperature is anything to go by, he has Shouto’s attention. “I figured you recognize class 1-A because you knew us from when you were alive, and the fact that you're roaming UA specifically led me to believe you were a former student.” While Izuku pulled out his laptop, he noticed Shouto grabbing a piece of paper and writing something down.
How can you be sure?
“That’s what my laptop is for, I’ll search for any kids that died within the last year or so. Easy peasy.”
Twenty minutes later and they had nothing. Not a single student named Shouto has died since Izuku started at UA. Which is good thing, just not a good thing for them.
Maybe I never went to UA, I could have just watched you on tv, Shouto suggested.
“Hmm, less likely, but we’ll try it.”
Again, Izuku searched for a Shouto who died within the year, but their problem was the exact opposite of what it was before. There were too many Shouto’s who died, way too many to possibly know the right one when Izuku doesn't even know what he looks like.
Izuku groaned and flopped back on the bed, sighing in defeat. “I’m so sorry for getting your hopes up like this, I really thought it would work.”
Izuku heard the scratch of pen on paper, then he felt Shouto setting it on his face. Suppressing a smile, Izuku picked it up and read it.
Stop being an idiot, it was a good plan
Izuku let out the laughter he was holding in and crumpled up the paper to throw at where he thought Shouto sat. It was no surprise to find that he completely missed. “Man, I wish I could see you. It would make finding you so much easier.”
They sat in silence for a moment before Izuku gasped and sat straight up. “Wait! Remember when you told me about how you had to learn how to hold things? What if you could do that to your appearance as well?”
You mean focus really hard?
“Yeah, try to concentrate on whatever it is that cements you more into reality.”
There was a stillness in the air that Izuku has learned is Shouto staying very still. Izuku held his breath for as long as he could before the need for oxygen was too great, and then he went very quiet.
It took much longer than he thought it would, nearly 30 minutes, and Izuku was getting ready to call it quits, when he nearly shot out of his skin at the sudden sight of a boy sitting on his bed. In all honesty, the person in front of him really wasn’t what Izuku imagined when he thought of what Shouto might look like.
Nowhere near what he had imagined.
The first thing he noticed was Shouto’s red and white hair, evenly split down the middle. Then it was the red scar over his left eye, which brought to Izuku’s attention the bright green and grey eyes looking at him nervously.
He was young, probably no older than Izuku was, and it did not escape his attention how the faint hint of red on his cheeks made him look even cuter than he already was.
“I think it worked,” Izuku said a little breathlessly, when he realized Shouto was expecting him to say something, and knew his own face was getting redder too.
Shouto cleared his throat, and in a pleasantly deep voice asked, “Do you have a mirror?”
Izuku was so surprised at the unexpected question that he let out a little laugh, and grabbed Shouto’s hand to lead him to the bathroom. “Yeah, c’mon.” Still giggling under his breath, he switched the lights on and turned to witness Shouto’s reaction. As he suspected, Shouto’s eyes widened when he took in his unconventional features.
“How could you not even know what you look like?” Izuku asked, and as hard as he tried, he couldn't keep in the booming laughter any longer.
“Are you making fun of me?” Shouto teased, “You know it’s not nice to be mean to friends.”
Izuku stopped laughing and gasped. “No, of course not! It’s just—” he realized he was still holding Shouto’s hand when he raised his up, and quickly let go. “Uh, it’s just the face you made was funny, is all.”
“If you say so.”
They stood in silence for a moment, until Izuku said a little too loudly, “Well, it will be easier to find any article about you now, we should get on that!” and escaped into his bedroom. He stared at his screen while opening his browser so he wouldn't have to look at Shouto, but he can tell by the heat in his face that he’s not hiding his embarrassment very well.
He felt the bed dip as Shouto sat next to him, and they lapsed into silence once again while they looked through every article they could find. Just like before, they found nothing of use, and Izuku buried his head in a pillow to take out his frustration.
“This is impossible. How can there be nothing? I'm sorry I got your hopes up again.”
“It’s fine, at least you got one thing right.” When Izuku only looked at him in confusion, Shouto looked down at himself and said, “I used to be a student.”
For the second time that day, Izuku shot up from his bed and cried, “You’re right! How did  miss that? If you used to be a student then there must be some record of you somewhere, but where would we be able to access that? It's probably locked in a room where they keep these sort of things. Maybe a records room? But that doesn't help me if I can't find it…” Izuku kept on mumbling until he looked up at Shouto and saw the small smile on his face. “Ah, sorry, I do that sometimes.”
“Izuku, it’s fine. You’ve only been a help.”
“Really?”
“Obviously, without you I probably wouldn't have been able to appear at all.”
“It’s nothing, really—”
He was interrupted by a loud banging, “Izuku, who are you talking to in there?” Uraraka asked through the door.
“N-No one!”
“Uh-huh. Well, Jirou wanted to have a Lord of the Rings marathon. Do you want to join us?”
He looked at Shouto, and at his slight nod Izuku said, “Yeah, I’ll be right there.”
When the sound of Uraraka’s footsteps faded away, he let out the breath he was holding in, “What are you going to do?” Izuku asked.
“I don't think I want them to see me just yet, I know they're going to ask questions that I just can't answer.”
Izuku smiled encouragingly, and said, “It’s up to you, but… do you know how to go back to being invisible?”
Shouto made a face like he was thinking about it, and eventually said, “I think I might be able to, but don't wait up for me. The others might get suspicious of how long you’re taking and come looking for you.”
“Are you sure? I can stay, it's no trouble.”
Shouto let out a short laugh and rolled his eyes. “Yes, I'm sure. It won't take a minute.”
Izuku stared at him for a moment longer before standing up and saying, “Well, if you say so.” Leaving the room with a quick, “Good luck!”
When he got downstairs he sat down, got comfortable, and made sure there was a seat next to him for Shouto. Izuku smiled when he felt a cold presence that meant Shouto had arrived. “That was five minutes,” he teased, and received a face full of hot air that got strange looks from the others, and for the first half of the movie he couldn't get warm not matter how many blankets he piled onto himself.
He pouted at the empty space next to him and mumbled, “Now you’re the one being mean.”
Izuku couldn’t see him, but he can tell Shouto was laughing.
Hey guys Im back with another Todomomo fanfic! This time its going to be multiple chapters instead of a oneshot :D Heres the first chapter. I hope to upload weekly.
Summary:  Momo is put in charge of planning a dance for the first years of UA(along with the Class President). With this extra responsibility added on top of her hero work and regular studies, how will she ever catch up to Shouto? She feels like she is falling behind until someone offers to help.
Momo and Shouto were both recommended into UA. They started at the same place, but why does Shouto feel so far away? The two of them even sit next to each other in class, but Momo always feel so far away from Shouto. Like he’s just out of reach... She deeply admires her seat mate, but could it also be jealousy? Momo grew up in a wealthy family, but she is not one to be described as a snooty rich person. In fact, it has humbled Momo knowing how fortunate her upbringing was. So then why does she have these conflicting feelings towards Shouto?
Momo places her hand under her chin and begins zoning out when a familiar voice startles her back to reality. “Yaoyorozu. What’s wrong?” the voice asks. When Momo starts to focus again she notices that she was staring directly at her seat mate. Did she zone out while looking at him?! How embarrassing!
“Yaoyorozu?” Shouto asks again.
“Y-yes, Todoroki-san?” Momo asks quietly.
“You were glaring at me for a while. Did I do something?” he asks.
“I was glaring..? I’m so sorry, Todoroki-san! I was daydreaming and didn’t mean to stare at you.” Momo apologizes.
“Ah. Well did you hear the announcement? Aizawa sensei said the Class President and Vice President are needed after class.” Shouto informs her.
This gets Momo’s attention. She wasn’t sure how long she was dazed, but she definitely missed that part of class. How could she be so careless and not pay attention? How shameful of her! How can she ever hope to catch up to Shouto if she can’t even pay attention in class. Momo diligently focuses on the rest of Aizawa’s lesson until the bell rings dismissing the students.
Everyone except Momo and Tenya leave the classroom. They sit in their seats eagerly waiting to hear what Aizawa has to say. He looks dreary-eyed as usual, but he seems slightly irritated. “Alright, I’m going to make this quick ‘cause I’m tired.” Aizawa begins.
“UA is holding a dance for the first years and I was asked to form a dance committee. I couldn’t care less, so I’m leaving it up to the Class President and Vice President. Hence why I asked you to stay after class. Well, that’s all.” he finishes.
Tenya stands up and quickly adds, “Hold on, Aizawa sensei! This is a lot of responsibility to place on just two students!”
“Iida-san is right. There is a lot of planning that goes into this such as a theme, decorations, music, and not to mention working with a budget which I’m assuming can’t be that much…” Momo replies.
“Yes, quite a hassle indeed which is why I want no part of it. I’ll give you the details on the budget and have Present Mic take care of getting you the equipment for the music. As for the rest, I’m sure it’s nothing two heroes in training can’t handle.” Aizawa finishes with a smirk.
“I should’ve known this is a test of some sort! It’s true heroes have to come up with plans on the fly! As expected from UA!” Tenya passionately declares. Aizawa dismisses the two of them after that.
Momo goes straight to her room and changes into her sleepwear. Just a simple loose shirt and comfy shorts. She sprawls onto her gigantic bed tummy first and creates a notepad and pencil with her quirk. This dance is going to require a lot of planning, and she doesn’t want it fail on her behalf. Momo ponders various ideas in her head before giving in for the night. Her alarm clock reads 10:04. Not terribly late, so she decides to make a cup of chamomile tea to help her sleep.
After sliding into her slippers, Momo heads for the common area. It’s almost completely dark except for a dim light coming from the couch. It’s probably someone on their phone. Momo heads over to the couch and peers over to see who it is. What she sees surprises her, to say the least. She finds a boy who had obviously fallen asleep while watching videos on his phone. His half-and-half hair is covering his sleeping face. Momo can’t help but smile at the sight. Such a rare sight indeed of a sleeping Shouto. He looks so vulnerable which is the exact opposite word used to describe him.
Momo moves around the couch and sits next to the sleeping boy. She very gently takes his phone out of his hand and places it on the coffee table. When she looks over at him, she still can’t see his face because of his bangs. Without thinking, her hand moves to brush his hair out of his face before she sees a pair of heterochromatic eyes staring back at her. Momo is frozen in place with her hand still on his forehead before she realizes what she’s doing. Momo’s face gets hot and thanks heaven that’s it’s too dark to see her. She flinches back and sits at the furthest part of the couch feeling mortified at being caught.
“Yaoyorozu..?” the sleepy boy asks. His voice is groggy from being woken up.
“A-ah, fancy meeting you here at this late hour, Todoroki-san.” Momo tries to deflect the attention away from the fact that she was just brushing his hair out his face.
Shouto comes to his senses and realizes where he is. He looks over at the coffee table and finds his phone there. “Ah, I must have fallen asleep. Thanks for waking me.”
“Of course! It would be bad if your phone died and you fell asleep out here. You could catch a cold!” Momo jumps at the chance to keep the attention away from her.
Shouto looks back at Momo and notices she’s in her pajamas. Was he asleep for that long? What’s even more intriguing is Momo has her hair down. Instead of asking her why she’s out here so late, he says, “Yaoyorozu. Your hair is down.”
This catches Momo off guard. “Um, yes. I wear it down when I go to bed.”
Shouto stares at her intently for far longer than expected. It’s dark so he can’t see Momo’s face flush from the attention. “It’s different, but nice.” he finally says. If Momo’s face was red before, it’s much worse now. She quickly stands up.
“W-well anyways, I only came down here to make some tea.” Momo says as she heads for the kitchen. To her dismay, Shouto follows her.
“Oh yeah, what did Aizawa sensei want from you and Iida?” Shouto asks.
Momo begins boiling some water in the kettle and then sits down at the table. Shouto joins her on her left.
“Apparently, Iida-san and I are responsible for planning the first years’ dance. It seems like it’s going to be a lot of extra work on top of our hero training and regular studies...” Momo sighs.
“Just the two of you? When does he expect you to work on that?” Shouto seems genuinely interested. This surprises Momo because she didn’t think he would even care about the dance in the first place.
“I was thinking in the evenings after all the usual workload and on our free days.” Momo replied. The kettle is screeching now and she gets up to pour it into two mugs. She returns to the table handing one mug to Shouto.
“Ah, thanks.” he says as he blows on the steam. The two of them sit there silently for a while sipping on their tea. Momo lets out a small shudder which catches Shouto’s attention.
“If you’re cold I could warm you with my left side.” Shouto offers.
“That’s alright, the tea will warm me up.” Momo replies as she looks away to hide her embarrassment. She continues shivering however, and now she has no more tea left in her mug. Shouto gets up to wash their mugs and sits back down on Momo’s right. Momo feels a warm sensation on her right side and begins dozing off. She flutters her eyes back open when she realizes Shouto had leaned against her to warm her up.
“Now you’re the one falling asleep.” Shouto says with the smallest hint of a smile.
Momo jumps up suddenly. “It’s getting late, we should be getting back to our rooms.” Shouto also gets up to head back to his room.
“If you ever need someone to lean on, I’m usually here before bed if you want help with the planning.” Shouto says with a deadpan expression.
Was that supposed to be a joke..? Momo can’t help but giggle at his unexpected pun. How can someone so observant be just as oblivious at the same time.
“Sure. I feel like I’m going to need all the help I can get.” Momo says with a smile. She feels that familiar warmth in her chest. In one single night, Momo feels like she’s slowly closing the gap between her and Shouto. One of these days she’ll surely surpass him.
